We ensure the personal data collected is accurate, securely kept and used for the purpose as stated at the point of collection.
This statement (“Privacy Policy”) describes the privacy practices we have adopted in relation to collecting and keeping personal data.

Two types of personal data may be collected via this website:

  • personal information required for your enrolment and/or enquiries on YCA’s information and activities; and
  • cookies and usage data.

Personal information required for your enrolment and/or enquiries on YCA's information and activities

This website incorporates direct channels for you to submit enquiries to YCA and enroll in our school’s activities. These communication channels require you to provide us your personal data which may include but not limited to, your name, address, telephone number and email address. Such provision of personal data is on a voluntary basis in order for us to provide the required information and/or services.YCA will use such data in accordance with the purposes stated at the time of collection. Your prior consent will be sought for any other usage including but not limited to fundraising, marketing activities, research studies, other communications and promotion.

Cookies and usage data

The YCA’s web server shall record the general usage of the visitors. Some of the data will be collected through “cookies”.The collection of cookies is anonymous, including the personalised setting information (such as language selection) and collective statistical information (such as the number of people visiting the website, their activities and usage). This information shall be used only by the YCA for website service improvement. The YCA shall not collect and store the information which may reveal the identity of the user (such as name, address, telephone number, email address and other personal contact details).

Security in the storage and access of personal data collected

YCA will take all practicable steps to protect the personal data we hold against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use.
YCA shall restrict access to the Internet server which is used for collecting personal data through the Internet. Only YCA staff or authorized agents are allowed to access your personal data for lawful purposes. All related deeds acts and behaviour are complied with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. YCA reserves the right to restrict the access of personal data by its authorized agent through the YMCA’s confidential guidelines.
All practical steps will also be taken to ensure that personal data is accurate and is not kept longer than is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose for which the data is used.
Apart from the exemptions provided under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you are entitled to access and correct your personal data being retained by YCA, and request to withdraw your consent to use your personal data.
