Christmas is always extra special at YCA. This year, we had incredible performances by our Year 1 to Year 6 classes, YCA Choir, Chinese Hip Hop Club, Orchestra Ensemble and Recorder Club. We also had individual performances by students showcasing their talents! Special thanks to our student’s mom for performing 2 Christmas songs at our Christmas Fair.

Our Christmas Fair was lots of fun with game booths, face painting, delicious food and balloon twisting. Many thanks to our awesome PTA for organising this fun event. It was so fun that the students didn’t want it to end. It was amazing to see our YCA Alumni there as well!

During the last assembly of the calendar year, we had an impromtu snow storm! Students all gathered in the playground as they enjoyed some snow to kick start their Christmas holiday.

Year 2s had their first Exit Point “Live and Let Live” this afternoon. Students showcased their knowledge about endangered animals and dressed as their chosen species. They were very confident in presenting their sketchbooks and artwork to their parents and teachers. Proud of you, Year 2s! Awesome costumes!

Our Year 6 students organised a Bake Sale to raise funds for the Crossroads Foundation today. The students sold cakes and treats that they had baked themselves under the supervision of Ms. Gigi and other adults. They also made popcorn with the help of Ms. Di. Crossroads Foundation is a Hong Kong based charity that supports people in need locally and globally. The organisation is very grateful for the 2,300HKD raised by the bake sale. Well done Year 6! And thank you to all the students, parents and staff for supporting this event.

We had a fantastic time welcoming students from Italian International Nursery & Kindergarten 意大利國際幼稚園暨幼兒園 yesterday. They were so confident and well spoken as they attended a special workshop led by our Year 1 teachers. We also had a lovely time meeting with the parents, and sharing about YCA. They surprised us with a beautiful hand-crafted card before saying good-bye to us. Thank you again for visiting us!

Today, our Year 3 welcomed their families and friends to the “Shake It” Food Fair at YCA. They made us sweet treats and showed us the ingredients, the science behind it, and the process of making milk products. We had a wonderful time learning from our scientists and enjoying the delicious ice pops, ice cream, and butter. Thank you Year 3!

We had a wonderful Open Day last Saturday, 28 September, and had a lovely time meeting lots of new families. We were blessed with great weather, and great company. It was so heartwarming to hear that families love our school and their children had lots of fun at the workshops.

We are truly blessed to welcome 12 schools to our Secondary Coffee Mornings this year. As part of our Premium Transition Services to our YCA students, this event provides a great platform for parents and students to meet school representatives and Principals as well as learn more about their curriculum, assessment expectations and school culture. We look forward to working closely with these schools in the coming year to support our students’ transition into secondary.
